Local PDX Halloween Treats 2022
It’s once again time to ready our costumes, get our pillowcases or buckets, and break out the spooky movies because it’s another Halloween in Portland! Our city loves the weird and the spooky as well as the delicious, so we’ve wrangled up five more places for you to find local Halloween treats in PDX this year. For even more inspiration, make sure you check out last year’s blog.
1) Salt & Straw
Spooky flavors at our local Portland ice cream haunt this year include Jack O’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread and The Great Candycopia. Scoops and pints can be purchased at the storefront locations in PDX, and pints can be ordered online. Don’t worry about a cool treat on a cool night- you’ll do plenty of trick-or-treating to warm you back up!
2) Helen Bernhard Bakery
Known for cute, delicate treats and wonderful breads year-round, Halloween is no exception at HB Bakery. These are so adorable you are guaranteed to steal the show at your Halloween party.
3) Saint Cupcakes
If you don’t necessarily want your treats to be so scary they detract from your costume, try something a little fancier from Saint Cupcakes. Their seasonal flavors include Pumpkin Spice and Vanilla Maple Buttercream. We would like one invite to that Halloween party, please.
4) Love Hope Cookies
Love Hope Cookies has many delicious cookies and cookie decorating kits for sale in store and for order online! Cookie decorating party, anyone?
5) Portland Chocolate Laboratory
If you’re looking to eat candy this season with a little more meaning and intention behind it (even just once or twice to fill in the Reeses Pieces and Jolly Rancher filled gaps), consider checking out Portland Chocolate Factory. You can get your mindful spooky friends a box of Chakralot- a box of seven botanical chocolates, each meant to represent one of the chakras.
