Build: The Process

At Olson & Jones we are build specialists in new home construction and remodeling. We take your project from construction documents, into production, and through to completion; exactly as you designed. We ensure that the vision you started with equals the home you end up with.

Step 1 - Initial Meeting - Let’s Talk!

Let’s get acquainted to see if we are a good fit for you. One of our highly skilled Project Managers will meet you and hear about your vision for the project. They will review any construction documents, inspect the property in order to understand the scope of work, and make sure we get it.

Step 2 - Pre-Construction Services Agreement

In this phase we execute the first contract, the Pre-Construction Services Agreement, or PSA. The PSA provides a forecast of construction duration and a detailed and comprehensive budget that ensures there are no surprise costs to you. We go through this process so you do not sign a Construction Contract without knowing the full extent of the project. It is part of our vow of honesty and integrity.

Step 3 - Project Evaluation & Confirmation

During this phase we complete any needed value-engineering and you will sign off on the design or scope of work alterations.

Step 4 - Construction Contract

Now we are ready to get your project underway!

Step 5 - Production

During production, the Project Manager remains your direct point of contact. The Superintendent is the on-site supervisor, in charge of coordinating on-site activities and quality control. While we are hard at work, you can rest assured knowing your project is in good hands with our trusted and highly recommended team at Olson & Jones.

Step 6 - In-Process Changes

Need to make a change along the way? No problem! Our contract explains how changes will be handled.

Step 7 - Project Completion

When construction is complete, we will inspect your home once again, ensuring that we have maintained an exceptional level of craftsmanship. Finally, you will benefit from our industry leading, 2 year warranty.
