An Island in a Sea of Kitchen... Beautiful Kitchen Islands by OJ.

Kitchen islands are a great way to spruce up your kitchen, divide space, and create extra storage. They add a space for sitting, chopping veggies, and doing homework in the kitchen. They also create a hub around which to create social interaction and community around food. This blog will detail just some of the kitchen islands our creative clients have allowed us to build in their homes.

Mod White Island

This Southeast Portland remodel includes many unique and eclectic features. The kitchen, complete with dark flooring juxtaposed with bright white cabinetry, walls, and Kitchen Island. The island has a clean, modular look and an inset to comfortably accommodate the legs of sitting guests.

Classic Island

This traditional kitchen is book-ended on the top and the bottom with warm, dark beams and floors. The classic, white island is given structure with silver hardware and lots of handy storage. The dark countertop counteracts the heavy volume of white and gives the viewer a visual break.

Pewter Blue Island

Washed in a soothing pewter blue, this kitchen island is topped with a subtly colored marble countertop. Just as functional as it is beautiful, this island is also equipped with a stovetop, electronic chargers, and loads of storage for pots and pans.

Moody Modern Kitchen Island

This condominium’s remodeled kitchen in the Pearl District, Portland, is every bit as stylish and edgy as it is function-packed. The dark, black-ish color of the island itself is complimented by the dark, moody marble countertop. Equipped with storage, appliances, and charging stations.
