Each and every season is spectacular when you live in the Portland Area. The advent of the winter season is filled with collective spirit and vigor. Providence Virtual Festival of Trees Christmas Special

This KATU holiday special covering the 39th Annual Providence Festival of Trees. Held virtually this year, the holiday special covers all aspects that make the festival so spectacular, with a focus on all that goes into the ornate and beautiful Christmas trees.

Tuba Christmas in Portland’s Pioneer Square

Each year in the square aptly nicknamed Portland’s Living Room, tons of talented tuba players get together and perform a booming Christmas concert for onlookers. This outdoor event is COVID safe and family friendly and we guarantee your family here from out of town has never seen anything like it before.

Christmas Ships

Every year private boat owners deck out their vessels with elaborate Christmas lights, and set sail on the Willamette and Columbia Rivers, respectively, to provide Portlanders with a magical floating Christmas parade. Visit the website to view schedules, best spots to view on the shore, and restaurants you can visit during the parade for an extra special time out on the town.

 

Pittock Mansion Christmas- “Critters Make Merry”

Pittock Mansion, nestled high above Portland, is a sight to see year-round. During Christmas, many talented Portlander’s come together to decorate Pittock according to an annual theme. This year’s theme, “Critters Make Merry”, fills the mansion with incredible animal decorations that your whole family will enjoy.
